Christmas is really early this year

I took this from
[Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<lj-user="moonchild10">') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.]

I took this from <lj-user="moonchild10">

STEP ONE
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

STEP TWO
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Wishes
1: Plushies!!
2: Hugs, don't care who you are or if it's virtual
3: Just about anything Ouran HS Host Club related (fanart, fics, icons or real items accepted Kyoya's my favorite and I ship Tamaki/Haruhi only)
4: Critiques on my stories or icons (http://www.fanfiction.net/~ravenroses)
5: My PhD so I can stop going to college XP
6: Gaia cash
7: Backstreet Boys concert tickets
8: a real or burnt copy of Marilyn Manson albums: Mechanical Animals or The Golden Age of Grotesque
9: a real or burnt copy of any Nightwish CD with the old singer, not this new chick
10: a corset

Here's how much I think I'm getting any of this: ... Yeah...
Contact: nighttimestars@verizon.net
Or an lj comment

So, I sat down tonight and I made icons. I made them through Picnik because this laptop doesn't have photoshop and I didn't want to turn on my other one. Some are horrible looking due to stretch and what not but this is my second attempt. I guess on with the icons.

Karneval

xxxHolic/Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle

Vampire Knight

Kuroshitsuji

Tarot

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Fall

So fall's right around the corner and I couldn't be happier. The weather's already cooled off and I love it. I haven't been doing much outside of school. Anatomy and Chinese are keeping me busy. Religion might too with all the reading I have to do. I need to read for Linguistic Anthro as well but whatever. I had that professor last semester and she was an easy A. I have like no money though and I need a second job or something come January. I'm thinking of waitressing at like Applebee's or something. Oh I have no money because of manga and bubble tea. Oops, lol. So with fall being so close it means one of my favorite times is approaching: Halloween! I love dressing up. Too bad I don't have any ideas for this year. I already know what I who I want to be for AnimeNEXT in 2010 but no ideas for the fast approaching Halloween. Hm, any thoughts? I hit some buttons and now I'm typing backwards or something, this is confusing. Oh yeah, I got Bobby to start watching Ouran High School Host Club with me. He thinks it's the craziest thing ever but he's hooked. I'm happy. Other than that, nothing's really going on in my life. I should probably get back to reading and practicing my Chinese. See ya.

Icon love

01. Comment to this entry saying 'ICONS!' and I will pick 6 of your icons.
02. Make an entry in your own journal and talk about the icons I picked!

xhadowkiss chose these 6 icons.

This is the Iron Maiden. I can't remember her ridiculously long Japanese name. She's from the DS game the World Ends With You. I hated her but this icon is pretty awesome.

</div>

This is Hikaru Hitachiin. He's one of the twins in Ouran High School Host Club. Hikaru is definitely my least favorite character out of the main seven but I love this image.

This is Madame Red. She's Ciel Phantomhive's aunt (among other things) in Kuroshitsuji aka Black Butler. I love her. I'm not sure what it is about her but she is in my top three favorite characters from that series.

This is Drusilla. She's a vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She's insane, literally, but I love her. This icon is beautiful in my opinion and it's one of my favorites here on lj.

Meet Kyoya Ootori. He's from Ouran Host Club too. He is hands down my favorite from that show. He's cute and intelligent and made of pure evil. I'm not sure why I have this one on here over the many others I have of him but he's just trying to be seductive or something...

Say hello to Ed Elric from the series Fullmetal Alchemist. Ed is an awesome character in my opinion and this icon was done in such an interesting way and I love it for that.

School...Life

Well, this past Wednesday I went to a Blink 182/Weezer/Taking Back Sunday concert. TBS was horrible and I'm not saying that because I don't like TBS, they were just boring. Weezer was amazing. I loved them. They exceeded my expectations and I had already had high expectations for them. Blink was just as amazing as <s>four</s>five years ago. They were funnier this time. Sure Nikki and I didn't get pointed out like last time but whatever. We still had a blast.

I start classes tomorrow. Boo and yay. I'm excited for Chinese and Anatomy but at the same time they are the reasons I don't want to go back. I have classes four days a week and I'm working one or two days at the Stilo's shop. Maybe I can get more money in my pocket again. I need to stop buying manga. I want to save up for cloth and other sewing things. I really want to sew and make my own clothes. I feel like that would be fun. Another reason I'm scared is because Harvey, my car, was having a little trouble starting today. I hope he doesn't die on me on the way to school or not start up again. I'll be disappointed if I miss school...

I've been writing again but not in the way I would like. I'm talking *cringe* fics. Yea that's right, I said it. If you're lucky you can read them but they only go to communities they belong to usually. One lucky person gets a fic all to herself. No names mentioned. I've also been RPing a lot. I'm realizing that it makes me feel better. It helps me to write. It gives me ideas for some of my own stuff. No I'm not stealing from my RPs but whatever. I also get to meet some people. I made friends who I talk to through PMs or AIM. It brightens my day and that's all that matters really.

The real reason I'm posting is because I'm working on a new layout. As you can see I have a new default icon. It's no longer Madame Red but she's still in my rotation. I wish I could get more that fifteen icons without having to pay. It blows having such a small selection. ANYWAY, I wanted to ask you, my flist (those who read this stuff anyway) what you think. I want to know what colors should change. I want to know if there is a way to make the boarder of my entries transparent like I've been trying. Whatever it is, if you have a comment about it, please let me know. I love this background and the icon and I want to use them. Thanks.

Black Butler

So today I got my parking pass for school. That shit is expensive. Just to let me park on campus...jesus christ SHU. Anyway, I finally got around to watching the end of Kuroshitsuji (see title for translation). I regret not watching it sooner. It was beautiful, sad and amazing all wrapped into one. I'm so happy that manga is finally being translated into English. I'm tried of reading scanlations online and I want my own copy of the books that I can read. I refuse to buy Japanese copies since I can't read Japanese obviously. I did buy the magazine that's publishing the chapters. It makes me smile to see it. But anyway, my car's doing fine and I am starting to get the feel of driving again. I named my car Harvey. I'm not sure why, it just fits him in a way. Um we went to the city last night to celebrate Katie's last day in Jersey until Thanksgiving or Halloween depending on if she can make it to our Halloween party (if those plans actually go through this time). But yeah, I was mostly updating because of Kuroshitsuji. Read it/watch it if you haven't already. Seriously, it's good.

Story time

Have you ever wanted to immerse yourself in a story whether you're the one writing it or not? Haven't fairy tales and other worlds always seemed just better sometimes? I don't want a permanent escape, just a temporary break. Maybe this weekend away will do my head some good. I think I need to "lose" my laptop for sometime to avoid some of the stories I get lost in. Reality's a bore...

On a plus note, I got a car! It's a 1998 Honda Civic and it's green. I need to think of a name for it. I won't be able to drive it until next week though. I need to get the title and it needs some work. Also, I'm going away to Atlantic City and LBI for this weekend, work Monday and then I got to AC again for two days. Maybe that party'll be nice too...

P.S Hi new people!

Vacations?

I'm so tired and mt body still hasn't recovered from the motion sickness I've experienced this weekend. Let's recap the week:

Sunday was Nanny's funeral. It was nice to see the Thibaults/Rickuses again. Monday was work, no surprise there. Tuesday Bobby and I went to the city. We ate dinner at Junior's (I got my cheesecake!) and then we went to see Phantom of the Opera. I need to buy/download this soundtrack like right now. I knew I loved the music but I forgot how amazing everything was. I want to go again. Wednesday morning, Bobby and I drove down to Wildwood. The weather was nicer there than up here but the wind was dreadful and there was a sandstorm on the beach. Thursday, some of his family came down. By some I mean his parents, his youngest sister, her friend and one of his other sister's boyfriend. It was the strangest trip ever. After dinner we went to the boardwalk with everyone and Mr. Stilo dragged me on the go-karts with him. It was fun the first time but when I went on again with Sean and Bobby, my car sucked so bad. Friday we stayed in and went wave running in the afternoon. We hung out by the pool until we got cold and went inside. We drove home that night and brought Sean back with us. Oh while in Wildwood, I finally beat The World Ends With You. I feel betrayed by that ending but it's not over yet. There's an extra day apparently. Saturday morning I went with Billy, Katie and Billy's dad to Shickshinny, PA. On the way there, we went to the Lost River Cavern. The cavern itself was cool but the "tropical garden" was a joke. There was a veloceraptor named Sweetums fighting a bear. It's a nice little town in the middle of no where. We didn't stay too long before hopping in the car and going to Knobeles. I'm not a fan of amusement parks but this place was huge and nice. We swam at the pool there and Billy and I went on one of the slides. All three of us went on this crazy swinging, spinning hammer thing called Fandango and I freaked the fuck out. I also went on the Ferris Wheel for the first time and was freaking out when we stopped at the top. We did so much it's hard to remember everything we did. There were a lot of dogs there though which was strange. When we got back, we hung out with Billy's grandparents, uncle and father until like 1:30am. We wound up watching some of Clerks II and then going to bed at like 2:30? Today we left Billy's grandparent's and went hunting for Centralia. It's the town the based Silent Hill off of in the movie, I think. We found this really cool path that had a hollowed out house with newspapers in it from January 1987. The house was so cool. We found a lot of broken/rusted items and a giant pit. We drove around after that but neer actually found the real town that's still on fire after 60 years, I think. Billy and I want to go back eventually and look some more. I'll have pictures up on facebook eventually.

Now, I'm home, recuperating. I'm really tired and have work tomorrow but since I'm the Game Master of a game on Gaia, I want to stay up another 40 minutes at least to post an update. This should be fun. Work tomorrow. Melissa and probably Carson and a diner trip Tuesday. Bobby's sister's Sweet Sixteen Friday. Nikki B's party Saturday. That's all I'll say for now since August is extremely overwhelming. I hope I survive the month since school's coming up fast. Oi...

Creativity

I want to sew something. I feel the need to do something creative again. I have a pile of this grey fabric form my failed Lulu costume from Halloween 2004. I want to make something with it but I'm not sure what. I've been contemplating ideas for AnimeNEXT next year but I can't think of anything with a lot or any grey at all. I thought maybe one of Yuko's outfits from xxxHolic but nothing's coming to mind. Then I thought I might make an 17th/18th century style men's vest or tailcoat. This fabric is too heavy for a vest and too thin for a tailcoat. I also thought of a skirt but I can't imagine this being comfy. Ugh I need ideas. I also need other fabric and an actual sewing machine. I can't sew everything by hand.

Summer Days

Well I'm feeling much better now. I still have a slight cough but nothing serious anymore. Yay!

For Fourth of July, I went with Bobby to his family's place in Wildwood. We left Thursday morning and drove down. We got Sonic in Cape May/Rio Grande and it was delicious. We went to the house and settled in before hitting up the beach. It felt great to be down there, working on my tan. We went out to dinner that night with his family and it was nice. His mother gave me wine because she didn't want to drink the whole bottle by herself so I got two glasses while Sean and Julie each had a glass. Bobby and I drove around Cape May for a little then went to the boardwalk after dinner. I tried looking for new gauges but all they had were plugs and I am not a fan. We "split" a thing of Dippin' Dots and by split I mean I had two spoonfuls while he ate the rest. Then we each got soft serve on a cone and it was way too big. We should've split it, silly us. Then we went back and relaxed for a little before going to bed.
On Friday, we were going to go to breakfast but he got up before me and decided to eat cereal. I was a little annoyed but figured we could go Saturday morning. Then, at 11:30 we were at a dock in Wildwood and went out on the boat. We all decided to go parasailing. I was so nervous because I hate heights but whatever, I always wanted to do this so I sucked it up and went. It was really neat until you're all the way up and the wind is really strong. I started feeling kind of sea sick all though I took Dramamine and then I found out that sitting at the front of the boat is a terrible idea. Once I moved, I felt much better. Oh and the entire time we were on the boat I was singing a mix between "I'm on a Boat" and "I'm on a Blimp". So we went back to the hotel and found out that we were both a little burnt, me on the tops of my thighs and a little on my shoulders and him on his entire upper body. We went to the beach anyway. The water was beautiful! The wind was dreadful though and we went up to the pool. I didn't go in but laid out and tanned before going in for a shower. Then we chilled until dinner. We went with his family again. I wasn't a huge fan of this restaurant but they did have good rice. Then we just went back to the house and thought we were going to see fireworks but Wildwood was saving them for Saturday night. We watched some of The Bourne Idenity and Underworld: Evolution before going to bed.
I had such a terrible night of sleeping due to my burns and the fact that Bobby clicks his teeth in his sleep. I got up at 9:30 and Bobby ate breakfast AGAIN so we didn't go to breakfast. I was really annoyed about that but he made it up to me because we went to Hot Spot on the boardwalk. After that, I bought a pair of SkullCandy headphones and some fudge. We think a little kid was hit by the tram car. We were leaving the Boardwalk Mall and the tram car was there, some woman was throwing people out of her shop, there was a mob, said woman was yelling, "Back up. Please make room for the ambulance when it gets here." Another woman and her family were crying so that's why we assumed it was a little kid and the tram car was off the track and all askew. We went back to the house and Bobby bought a brand new ipod touch for himself and promised to give me his old one, a 60GB video. Needless to say I was pleased and happy to have the headphones. Then we sat on the balcony and read for a long time. The new Anita Blake book is awesome, in case any of you wanted to know. Then we sat around, packed and went to dinner with his family and the guy and his wife who own the place where the Stilo's have their house. We ate in the oldest house in Cape May. Cute place with delicious food. Bobby and I left after dinner to come home. We got back in South Plainfield by like 11. We were exhausted and he dropped me off.
Sunday, Bobby and I got bubble tea. We were craving it in Wildwood and while we were waiting his sister and her boyfriend came in. Bobby then wanted to wash his car before his family came over so I played The World Ends With You and watched him work. Then we had dinner and sat in his room hiding from his family until it was time to head over to the shop for fireworks. It was a nice display as always and I went home after that since he and I both had work yesterday. But yea that was my mini vacation. At work, Bobby's dad was telling me to "drag his ass back down there" meaning convince Bobby to go back to Wildwood to use the house since no one really is this summer and it's an expensive place. Needless to say, we're going back eventually.

I decided to do two lists. I did one first and then realized that no one who actually reads my lj actually reads/watches most the things in the first list. The second list some might be able to get at least a few but I'm curios nonetheless.

List 15 of your favorite characters from different fandoms, and ask people to spot patterns in your choices, and if they're so inclined, to draw conclusions about you based on the patterns they've spotted.

1.
So yeah, that really bad cough I have, turns out I have acute bronchitis and an acute sinus infection on top of my already bad allergies. I was really bad last night. Had a fever of 100.2 but it came down to 99.8 when I went to the doctor's today.

I've been in bed since work yesterday. I've been watching Law&Order Criminal Intent like there isn't anything else on TV but I just love Bobby Goren too much. Alex Eames is lovable too. If that other asshole detective comes on, Mike Logan, I'm going to be upset and hope Law&Order SVU is on somewhere else or even a decent CSI or god even a crappy sitcom (Roseanne, Will&Grace or That 70s Show preferably). I'm gonna go surf the web some more. Hopefully I'm better later where I can play some Kingdom Hearts.

P.S. I'm still missing some (read a lot) of phone numbers. Text or call or im me people!

I posted a facebook status but this is for all of you who don't see that: I got a new phone. It has the same number as the old one but I lost everyone else's number. So text me or im me with your number. Thanks guys!

In other news, I'm sick as hell with a really painful cough and that's all. AnimeNEXT was a blast and now that I'm typing that I remember I put up that painfully long entry so that's a redundant statement. I go to work tomorrow and Saturday. I hope to go to the doctor's Tuesday or Wednesday to be better by Saturday. Uh, yea... I think that's all.

Convention

So June 12-14 was AnimeNEXT. It was too good not to post an entry about it. I'll go day by day with highlights and silly moments that made us realize that maybe we can live together but group projects = pulling teeth. It also made us realize that, even in a group of other socially awkward nerds, we're still socially awkward nerds.

Thursday: So around 5 Billy and Stef picked me up and we went to meet Nikki and Adam at Villa Pizza. I had made a Fandom Mix CD just for this weekend and we listened and partied to that in the car. We drove to Somerset and went in through the Doubletree Hotel to get to the Expo center. We stood in the back of the room and right as Stef says, "I don't mean to jinx it, but..." and she mentions something about a line or other people and half a second later, a Con Safety guy walks over and asks us what we're there for. We tell him to pick up pre-registration stuff and he tells us to go out front and stand in line. Luckily, the line wasn't that long. We were the fourth group of people. Then it started raining and they had to move everyone inside. We got to stand by a table full of Sneak Preview mangas and Adam was really OCD about the heights of the piles. We got our stuff and went back to town. I can't remember what happened after that... my mind just blanked.

Friday: I got up at 7:00 to shower and get ready. I dressed as Yuuki Cross from Vampire Knight. I was excited. Bobby picked me up and we went to Billy's around 8ish. The three of us then went to the Bagel Pantry. Needless to say, I got a few strange looks. Then we went to the Expo center because Bobby needed to pick up his pass between 9-10. Within five seconds of pulling into the lot, we saw a Franziska von Karma from Phoenix Wright. Billy and I were pleased. We stood in line in the rain for like half an hour before we got inside. He got his pass and we wandered over to the Training Center to watch the last half hour of the xxxHolic movie and the first two episodes. Then we decided to get lunch and eat by the car. When we got there we saw a Sailor Mars with SMA on her sailor collar. Billy and I became excited because it was the Sailor Moon Abridged people. I said "Hey, it's the SMA crew," as Eric, dressed as gangster Sailor Jupiter walked over and he was like, "Oh you watch SMA? Yea you do." (or something like that). Megami33 was dressed as fat Sailor Moon with a pillow under her outfit and donut hairties to make up for the lake of odangos. Our encounter with them was very disappointing to say the least. I think after lunch was when we went to the manga library to chill out and just rest. Too bad there was this asshole who decided to scream on his cell phone while inside. Not pleased. Once we all finished our mangas, I went to the bathroom. When I was washing my hands a girl was fixing her makeup and she looks at me and says, "Awesome costume. I love Vampire Knight. Later, I want to get a picture with you." That made me smile but I never saw that girl again. After that, we went to the Dealer's Room. We stood in line until some Con Safety bitch pulled our half of the line over and completely disjointed the line, thus making us lose our place in line before people realized the line was supposed to be curved. We finally got inside the cluster fuck that is the awesome Dealer's Room. We looked around as much as we can and shoved through people. We saw Kim and Loan working the manga stand. I bought volumes 2&3 of Ouran High School Host Club from there. I also bought a Tamaki plushie (also from OHSHC), a black parasol and I think that was it then. Then we went to check out Artist's Alley. I wound up buying this really awesome print of like a strange medicine cart with some creepy chick and a Mad Hatter/rabbit guy. I loved it a lot. Then we were getting tired and irritated because it was already like 3 and Nikki, Adam and Stef were due to show up at 3:30 and all three of our legs were exhausted already. So we hung around doing whatever in the lobby of the hotel. I watched a bunch of Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) cosplayers and took pictures of anyone who posed. I was so excited that there were so many people cosplaying as Kuro characters. They finally showed up at like 5 something. We were annoyed but happy they finally arrived. We went to the Dealer's Room and Artists Alley again. This time around the Dealer's Room, I bought a Kuroshitsuji wallet that I absolutely love. In Artist's Alley I saw a few more prints I really liked but I was running out of money so I held out. But I did run into a Rima cosplayer (also from Vampire Knight) and she told me that there would be a photoshoot at like 8:30. I was super excited to hear that. We did a lot more walking around and even went to dinner at a pizzeria that was just a super awkward experience. and eventually Bobby and I went to that shoot. We went to a side area behind the pool by a picnic table and we were about to set up poses and stuff when all of a sudden the sprinklers went off. Needless to say, we all bolted out of there while people on the walkway laughed their asses off. We finally found another picnic table on the other side of the path and settled down and took a bunch of pictures. A ninja was wondering around us too, (s)he was silly. After we were done there, we moved up top to take pictures in this little alcove thing on the patio. 9 o'clock came fast and Bobby and I had to bolt to meet up with Stef and Billy to get on line for the FAKE? concert. The line was long and it started to move right as we got to the end of it. Then, as we're about to enter, the Con Safety guy stops us to let like four guys walk by. We're standing there thinking "What makes these guys so important?" As soon as they're out of earshot, the Con Safety guy says, "Yeah, that was your band," and we all go, "Oh shit... oops." So we get in and stand near the crowd but toward the back because we expected Nikki and Adam to join us. They didn't. FAKE? came on stage and it was a blast. They were really good despite the shitty acoustics in that building. We danced and I sang a little to the one song I knew. The singer gave us permission to illegally download their music because it hasn't been released in the states. That made me smile since I was ahead of the curve already. My bracelet wound up flying off my wrist and by magic Billy found it the lock that had been on it. Afterward, we head to the karaoke room to hear Nikki sing. We sit through two other girls who did okay and a guy who was great. Nikki did a great job and I took a minute long video of her performance. When she was done, we went back to the cars to get water and stuff because Billy and I sounded horrible from all the yelling we did at the show. We started blasting German Techno Sailor Moon and dancing around the car. I sat on the car actually, singing at the top of my lungs and Bobby sat on the curb taking pictures of everyone. Three people were walking by and joined our parking lot party. Nick, made us feel super awkward haha. Claire was cute and I can't remember the other guy's name. They were from Manhattan and pretty okay people but we didn't talk to them after they left us. We wound up singing English Sailor Moon and "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clakrson (we sang that one as loud as we could). Once we put on "Ignorance is Bliss" by Jellyfish, those three peaced. Then "Paparazzi" by Lady Gaga came on and we had a whole new group join us. This one guy was so happy we were listening to that song. A girl came up to me and just hugged me randomly then said, "I love your costume!" I thanked her and by the end of the conversation I had about six fangirls surrounding me. The girl who hugged me poked everyone in the stomach and the left with a group of people. We decided to change the CD and then everyone else left. The other CD managed to break Billy's CD player though. We were sad. Then we went to the Expo Center to stand in line for the Burlesque Show. That didn't even start on time. Around 1ish is started and we watched like three guys and a million girls strip and a comedian named Uncle Yo. Adam became really obnoxious during this time period. The crowd kept chanting for the MC to take his clothes off and he was not happy with it, lol. Finally he yelled at us for it because we were like half and hour over when the con was supposed to close and everyone had to be home. The show broke every fangirl's heart. There was a Sephiroth stripper and we all thought it was a boy but then we saw the effeminate face and then we noticed the really taped and bound down boobs and every fangirl died a little on the inside. We decided to leave at 3 because we were exhausted. We got to Billy's and Bobby went home. Adam and Nikki dropped off Stef. We hung around and eventually passed out around 4.

Saturday: We got up around 10:30 and lazed around a lot. I took a shower and Nikki did laundry. Then she took a shower and everyone eventually got ready. I can't remember what time we left or what really happened. Can you tell I'm tired still? Hell, if anyone even made it this far into the entry... Anyway, we go to the convention and we waited for Bobby to come while wondering around. We did... stuff? Billy and I went to buy FAKE? merch because we became like instant fans over night. We bought shirts and got a ticket to go to a photoshoot Sunday afternoon. Then we started talking to their manager/spokesman who was standing right next to us when we bought the shirts. We talked to him for a good fifteen minutes about the music scene in Jersey and what they were thinking about the US and the convention. He said they were all so confused to see everyone all dressed up and bizarre looking. It was a good conversation. So we say good bye to him and I see Stef and I'm about to go to her when Billy grabs my arm and goes, "Amanda, it's the band!" Sure enough the guitarist and bassist are standing right there with like ten Con Safety guys on them and people getting pictures with them. So I say "Fuck Stef, let's get pictures!" and that's exactly what we did. We got some girl to take a picture of the two of us with them. We were really happy about that. They were nice enough and we told them it was a great show and we loved it and their music. Not sure how much of it either really understood though. Then we left to shop around more and then we see those two guys plus the singer walk by. We met up with everyone eventually and I think Bobby finally arrived too. Nikki and Stef went to a panel and Bobby,, Billy and I decided to try to get into a Japanese Snacks&Sweets panel. We luckily made it. It was delicious! We tried so many different things and watched Pocky commercials. They were hilarious. Go on youtube and watch them if you can. Then we went to Artist's Alley and I bought two prints from the same artist (not the one from Friday). One was of Ed and Al from Fullmetal Alchemist and the other was Cloud with chibi Tifa, Vincent, Yuffie, Arieth and Cloud's holding Sephiroth between two fingers. Then Billy and I see a Neku and Joshua cosplayers from the game the World Ends With You and we see the Joshua has pins from the game. Billy asked where she got them and she said eBay but there was someone in the hall selling some. We run over and buy three of them each. We were happy. We had to hunt down Adam because his phone died and we couldn't find him anywhere and he had the car keys. At this point is was raining and we were like ugh! We found him with his friend Andy and we decided to go to dinner. Sted was being emo and pissy but we finally made it to some Hispanic diner in South Bound Brook I think, minus Andy. We got back to the convention and decided to sit in the award show thing and watched the coplayers who won. One of the judges had this awesome dress with bones all over it and a bone crown, it looked great. Then we left because Bobby decided to go home. Eventually we decided to try to go to this comedian who was having an 18+ show and we decided to check that out. The hallway was packed and we thought it was for that. Then everyone started to leave and Billy found out that it was for the Pokemon Party, not the comedian. So we hopped in line for the comedian and were the first ones. We get inside and sit down. He asked if someone would tape the show and Stef puts her finger to her nose and Billy and I follow suit. The girl and guy next to us go "Oh shit! You guys do that too!? That rule is law in our house." So they do it too. A few other people are confused and do it too. Then this big black guy in front of us goes, "Oh no, I lost and had to drive last night because of that. I'm doing it too." So he does it. Eventually someone volunteers and is stuck doing it. We were there for 15 minutes max. He was okay at first and then quickly dropped off into horrible. We walked out into the hall where everyone else who left was bashing it. Apparently the staff didn't believe us, stepped in and quickly stepped out. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, Adam, Nikki and Andy had escaped too. We headed to somewhere and ran into three of the Con Safety guys who had seen a small part of the show and one of them commented, "Now I know what it feels like to drown without water." We were laughing hysterically. Then we decided to head for the rave. We saw a Jack Skellington on stilts and Nikki almost missed him. Then we stormed the barricades and led a huge raid of people jumping over the yellow tape or diving under it. We secured our place in line and a girl gave us three glowsticks. It made me happy to have one. Nikki and Adam ran and put our stuff in the car. Stupidly I left my heavy denim jacket and long-sleeved shirt on. I regretted that later when my allergies acted up from dancing. We got in and danced like crazy. The DJ from FAKE? was DJing since Greg Ayres wasn't there to do it and the other members of FAKE? just stood off to the side and watched everyone dance and be ridiculous. We left around midnight because we wanted to get back early enough so Katie, Pem and Christina could get there and hang out with us before we all passed out. Katie got there not long after we called her but Christina and Pem didn't get to Billy's until like 2ish maybe? I was falling asleep on the couch and Christina and Pem just didn't care about what we had to tell them it felt like. Finally we went to bed sometime after 5.

Sunday: Some of us got up at 8something when Christina's alarm went off. She was supposed to leave at nine and she and Pem didn't leave until 9:45. Finally we got up and got ready for the con. We left around 11:30 and made it in time. Billy and I sat in line for the FAKE? photoshoot. We thought we'd get autographs too but we only had the ticket for a picture, which they had to use my camera for anyway haha. We each took out own picture and then went into the Dealer's Room one last time. I bought two boxes of Pocky and a bag of Soda Candy. We then met up with everyone in Artist's Alley. We didn't really look at anything and we went to wait for Stef and Nikki to get out of the bathroom and Adam left us to go play video games. Billy then came up with a great idea that we should get a group of five catgirls to crowd around Nikki and take a picture because she was wearing the "Four Out of Five Cats Prefer Lesbians" shirt. We got a group of six catgirls and a Pichu cosplayer to pose for us. One girl didn't want to do it but she stayed anyway. Then we went to find Adam. Billy, Stef and I played Super Smash Brothers on the N64. Billy kicked our asses. Surprised? I'm not. Then we decided to go to the training center to see if anything interesting was playing. There really wasn't. So we went into table top gaming and found Clue. It was the most serious game ever. I sort of won by default because Billy and Stef guessed first but I chose the wrong suspect, right room and weapon. Then we met up with Nikki and Adam again. We got pictures, had a group hug and said goodbye to AnimeNEXT for the year. We went back to Billy's, I called Bobby and Adam took Stef home after we cleaned up the basement. Then we made dinner. Nikki made her garlic bread and we had stuffed shells. So yummy! Then we hung out in the basement playing a really slow game of Uno. Then Nikki and Adam fell asleep on the couch. I was falling asleep on Bobby and after Mythbuster's we all left.

That's really the end of the journey. I'm downloading and listening to FAKE? I've read some OHSHC and today I had work in the morning, so I'm still tired. Bobby and I went to dinner at Cheeseburgers in Paradise. Then we went to Barnes&Noble where I got xxxHolic and Vampire Knight, then we got Bubble Tea and went to the Asian Supermarket and bought some snack food. I hope to sleep in tonight. I haven't done much tonight but it's taken me almost an hour it feels like to write this entry. I'm probably right. Okay, you're all probably tired of me stretching your friend's page (unless I decide and/or remember how to ljcut this). Moral of the story: Conventions are fun, we can't wait til next year's, pictures are on facebook and I need lots of sleep. Goodnight everybody!

Busy or not so busy

I'm still working on getting a car and I really need it. Bobby's dad is still trying to get me this Toyota Avalon but it's taking a while. Well, I still need a lot of practice and to memorize the route to SHU. I drove on a mini highway today (Rt. 28). which wasn't so bad but I need to get used to looking for signs and not drifting into the other lane. But I was out that way because I went to get my hair cut at a place in Bound Brook. The place was really nice and the woman who cut my hair was sweet. Needless to say I'll be going back. My hair's like halfway up my neck and I have bangs. This is the first time I've had them since I was a kid. I like the way it looks but I need product of some kind in order to style it. I hope to have pictures on facebook by like tomorrow or Wednesday because I'm going to Adam's to hangout with everyone. Pictures should be taken by someone (me or Miss Katie most likely). And I say Wednesday because I have work Monday at the Stilo's shop and Tuesday at the club.

So AnimeNext's in like two weeks. I have almost all the pieces of my costume. I have a lot of work to do on the jacket so I'm hoping Wednesday on to work on only that. I need to go back to the mall and get stockings because I got the wrong ones when we went the other day. Speaking of that mall trip, I got the complete works of the Grimm Fairy Tales. I was so happy to get such a beautiful book for so cheap. Yesterday a huge group of us went to the high school. I saw Pecora and Crosby. I hung out in each room for like half an hour. It was nice.

Other than that stuff, nothing's going on. I just take the days as they come. I've been trying to get back into reading and I've been playing video games. I beat the FMA game a few weeks ago so I've been playing Kingdom Hearts and the World Ends With You. Need to finish those before I got back to Final Fantasy VIII and XII. I have a lot of "work" to do this summer.

Home and Summer

I've been home for a little over a week now. I'm currently at work doing nothing. I have questions and no one around to answer them. All I can do is wait for someone to get back, answer phones and stare out the window for the mail truck. This is my life and it's more exciting than yours. XP

Yesterday was rough with the funeral. It was such a sad day and I saw a bunch of people I haven't seen in years. I hope to see some of them again in a happier setting. It made me realize that I want to reconnect with some friends I haven't seen or spoken to in a while.

I hung out with old friends last night. We had a good time and watched Stranger Than Fiction, which was better than I was expecting it to be seeing as it was a Will Ferrell movie. Tonight we might get together to watch Zombie Strippers. Should be hilarious and possible disturbing and not in a horror movie kind of way since it stars Jenna Jameson in not porn.

Guess I'll get back to work now and make myself look productive. Peace bitches.

Final Week

I have done nothing productive this entire semester. Sure I went to class but I became a shut in. I didn't go to dinner with anyone, I barely hung out with anyone and when I see Steve all we do is bitch about this place and the people in it. Yay higher education! Boo the human race! Actually Steve's supposed to be on his way here. Not sure where he is though...

So yeah, end of the semester. I have two finals left and my brain has shut down last month. I've been messing up a lot lately. Mostly in what I type and with what I think. I'm so over this semester. No one here cares. On top of that, my allergies have gotten a lot worse. I've been suffering for the past week. I keep randomly breaking out in itchiness all over my body, I keep trying to hack my lungs up and my nose is either stuffy or runny. It's a horrible feeling. Anyway, I go home on Thursday the seventh. I'm excited. I think I'm working Mother's Day at the club and then I might start work for Bobby's parents on the thirteenth. Hopefully, I'll be going to my aunt's on the eighteenth to start working on my costume for AnimeNext. I'm really looking forward to that. Speaking of anime, I've been really into reading Fullmetal Alchemist lately and I keep wanting to play its game along with Final Fantasy VIII. I have a lot of games I want to play and a lot of other things I want to read. So many things, so little time.

It made my life the other day. I posted a piece of my writing online. I got really positive feedback. I was extremely pleased and now I'm a little less uncomfortable with showing off some of my writing. It puts me in a mood to write more, whether it's ff or my own stuff, we'll see where I go from here. I do have an idea for a compilation book. It'll be short stories and they run off a theme. I have two and a half tales so far. Need more superstitions though. If you think of anything, let me know.

Oh yea, I saw Alkaline Trio last Saturday. They were awesome. It was a short set and they played two songs I love that I wasn't expecting to hear ("Burn" and "Sadie" for all those who care). We got attacked by an angry mob during Saves the Day because some asshole decided it would be cool to shove his way past all of us to the front and start flipping off the band screaming "Heavy metal!" The fangirls got pissed and almost beat the shit out of the guy. I kind of liked Saves the Day actually. Bobby got kicked in the face by a crowd surfer, no surprise. The security/bouncer guy in the front almost broke my nose trying to get a crowd surfer down. He smashed his elbow into my face and it bruised a bit. I miss going to shows. Too bad the fans suck and the bands are terrible. But Blink 182's coming back and I missed a free show of No Doubt in NYC this morning. Damn final...

Now... where the hell is Steve?

[Edit] Oh look he bailed.

AHHHH!!!!

I'm so excited!!! I'm going to see Alkaline Trio on April 25th at Starland Ballroom!! This is the concert I've been dying to see for years! Bobby's coming with me. This should be fun. Thanks for the heads up Stef!

This also fills my "see at least one concert this year" quota. Screw Bamboozle. Doubt BSB and Blink'll have albums out this year for a tour but maybe after Bamboozle No Doubt will tour. One can hope. Surprisingly, with this new development I don't have an Alk3 song stuck in my head. But I have been listening to AFI's Sing the Sorrow album a lot in the past two days so it sort of explains the song.

Good thing I'm putting in a lot of hours on Easter. I need the money with they way I've been spending it lately. AnimeNext ticket. Alkaline Trio ticket. Final Fantasy VIII I'm buying from some chick. I am getting $5.25 back from my college, which isn't much but it's something. Then again I lose $7 to our government. Thanks a lot taxes. So when you balance it out, I've spent $96 this past week alone. Damnit... At least it'll all be worth it.

Plague

I want to avoid South Plainfield like it's the plague this summer. I'm not sure why but I want to get out and away. Maybe it's the hormones talking, I don't know. What I do know is I don't want to be home this summer. Bobby called me ambitious. I think I'm just tired of being home and alone all the time now. Here's what I want to do:

1. Roadtrip to Canada
2. Live at the beach forever
3. Live with my aunt in Hazlet
4. Live with my aunts in Elizabeth
5. See family in Las Vegas
6. See family in Chicago
7. See family in Japan
8. Maybe see family in Ohio
9. See family in Poughkeepsie, NY
10. Go and have fun at all three days of Anime Next
11. Go to Wildwood and maybe see Adam, Tom and Kyle
12. Go to at least one concert
13. Work at the country club a lot
14. Get a car of my own
15. See Steve in South Jersey and hit up Philly
16. Go clubbing
17. Read a book a week
18. Get a sewing machine
19. Thrift store shop
20. Revamp myself: cut off my hair, dress outrageously/Gothic/odds and ends
21. Finish a video game or seven
22. See another Broadway play
23. Take pictures of everything and everyone (real film and digital)
24. Make friends elsewhere
25. Roadtrip across the country (although I doubt this'll happen)
26. Drive on the highway without fear
27. Get tattoos (4 or 5 of them)
28. Visit the dead
29. Lose 10 pounds
30. Write more and maybe finish something for once
31. Complete scholarships
32. Try different ethnic foods
33. Watch/read more anime/manga
34. Run

[Edit:] This turn more into a list of things I want to do this year more than this summer.

Layout

I have a new layout up. I got a new icon and I decided it was time for a change. I do miss the black and purple a little but the blood, red and purples are something different.

I joined twitter for no real reason except the fact that Stef and I are silly fan girls.

I go home for Spring Break on March 5th. I come back to school on the 15th. I plan to meet up with old friends and maybe see current friends. Bobby and I are going to watch a bunch of stuff. We're going to watch Sailor Moon Abridged, maybe start Fullmetal Alchemist, maybe start Kuroshitsuji, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, possibly more Buffy. Wow, that's a lot of stuff in a short amount of time but we do have the summer too. That reminds me, I need to look up House from last week and Dollhouse too. I missed both of them and need to catch up.

I had to write an outline in English today for a short story. I decided to base it on a superstition. Those are always my best short stories. Thank you Pecora. I wrote five and a half pages in about two hours. I have to go back and revise and maybe change stuff but we'll see. I need someone to read it though.

Otherwise, I haven't been up to much. I've been reading a lot of different mangas online and then watching their anime counterparts. I decided that for Anime Next I'm going as Trucy Wright from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. I'll probably be living at my aunt's house for most of May to make her cape and top hat. I want to learn how to sew more so I might stay and just make random things. My major goal is to make Fai's coat from Tsubasa. It looks so comfy and warm. It would make me happy.

In other news, I'm moving home next semester. I hate living here and I have no chick friends who I would want to room with. Besides, I didn't have a great experience, I like my silence and alone time and lastly, this place is so expensive. I still have a balance to pay for this semester. Ugh!
